Gift from Covid19 pandemic- Now we can teach & learn from anywhere, anytime.
Since the lock-down early of the year 2020, now I can do more than one job at one time from my home. With this flexibility, I can teach any students from the world without the constraint of lock-down. Even for my own self-improvement courses, with all the flexibility of online learning, I can now take more than one course at one time in different Institutions/Universities from my sweet home. This is the best flexibility awarded by the pandemic.
In the past, my daily teaching is limited to physical learners based in Malaysia. Now with just stay at home, I am able to teach more students around the world, and it can be conducted at any of my or my learners’ convenient time without single waste of time.

A new way of appreciation token by College students
This is the last tutorial class for one of the Principles of Finance classes. We have been together for 13weeks, created a lot of stories and illustrations based on students relevant context. This class is so special as they always expect one global news for discussion by end of the class.
This is surprising to me. Out of a sudden before ending of the last class for the semester, the students write a message in the chatbox of GC “show now”….???..??
A lot of “Thank You” flash up my screen. It was so touching depth in my heart.
In the past during the last class in a lecture hall, we will take photos together or sharing talk. Something different now with a taste of sweet memory.
My new way of learning and exam journey
As usual, I have been keeping polishing my knowledge and skill, this has been no change even during pandemic. The only change and benefit enjoy was the more flexibility than physical lesson. The most amazing experience is the online exam and interview test.
During this pandemic period from 2020 till current, I have completed 3 courses online: Professional Certificate of Islamic Finance, Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (CTCSOL) Test, Certified Expert of Sustainable Finance (CESF).
This is a new way of exam I experienced. CTCSOL from Beijing Hanban, online interview exam, very strict and stressful for me. This exam is quite stressful for me as Beijing Hanban is very strict, if any breakdown of internet connection or any third person walks into my room, the exam will automatically withdraw. As Malaysians, internet connection is really a phobia for us. As a mother of 3 young children during this FULL LOCKDOWN where everyone is at home, it is really hard for me to make sure zero disturbance during my one-hour interview test.

Are online class effective?
Yes, for you. Those who are busy with work and life, have very limited daily hours and wish to keep learning and advancing.
We understand your concerns about online classes. However, online classes provide flexibility and great experience especially during these pandemics, I would say this is the precious gift given by pandemic who make the learners and coaches further expand and improve the quality life.
1) More Effective Articulation and Pronunciation
With the safe-distancing measures enforced, both coaches and learners are required to always wear masks. Wearing a mask can affect teaching and learning especially when we need to demonstrate pronunciation. By online learning language, learners are unable to read the teacher’s lips. Lip-reading often helps the learners to pick up the correct pronunciation quickly.
2) Flexibility without compromise
Just like working from home (WFH) arrangement, accessing classes online is just with a button. It can be from your balcony, garden, kitchen and anywhere.
